How Do I Clean a Sink with Comet?
here seems to be a million products that promise to clean your sink (or tub) with little to no effort. I have tried many of these products in my business over the years, but I always come back to the basic cleanser. Comet cleanser is one of my favorites to use. Despite what you may have been told, Comet cleanser will not scratch your sink. Whether it is porcelain, stainless steel, cultured marble, or natural stone, odds are that Comet cleanser will work fine.
The secret to using any cleanser, is to make sure you use the right amount of water.
As with any cleaning chemical, you should always test in an inconspicuous place, just to make sure that there will be no adverse effects.

The Solution in 6 Easy Steps:
Step 1: Wet the sink with water.
Run warm water in the sink. Use a rag or cup to sprinkle water over the entire sink.
Step 2: Sprinkle a liberal amount of Comet cleanser in the sink. Place extra Comet in areas that may be stained.
Step 3: Soak a towel with water from the tap. This is important. To properly use a cleanser, you will need a substantial amount of water.
Step 4: Work the wet towel into the Comet cleanser using circular motions. Scrub the sink with the paste that is created. Creating circles allows for easy overlapping so there are fewer chances of missing a spot. If the sink is heavily soiled, you will feel the surface become smooth and easy to scrub as the dirt is removed.
Step 5: Rinse the Comet cleanser from the sink. You can use a cup or a spray nozzle, if the sink has one. A clean towel can be used to rinse the sink, as well. Feel the surface of the sink. If you find an area that is not smooth and clean, repeat steps 1 through 5.
Step 6: Dry the sink to a high shine. This final step should be done with a clean, dry cloth. Drying the sink removes the drops of water that will leave water rings behind. Turn the towel to a dry section to give a final buffing that gives a nice finishing touch to your project.
Bonus Tip: Use Comet cleanser on your faucet as well. It cuts through the soap scum that builds up over time and gives chrome a mirror finish.
